William MacArthur Martin

William MacArthur Martin, age 83 of Dora, passed away February 21, 2026 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. "Mac" was born September 9, 1942 to the late Claud and Alma Maxine Weathers Martin as one of 6 children. Mr. Martin retired after 50 years of service as a route salesman for Golden Flake. He loved playing BINGO as was very active in his life until just a few month prior to his passing. He was a HUGE Alabama fan and in his younger years, enjoyed coaching his daughters' softball teams.

Mr. Martin is predeceased by his parents, Claud & Alma Maxine Weathers Martin; his infant son, Allen William Martin; sister, Claudette Spain; brothers, Eugene Martin and Douglas Martin. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Brenda Martin; sons, Brent Martin and Brodie Martin; step sons, Tommy Marlin (Jeanine) and Kevin Marlin (Renee Goodwin); daughters, Kim Arnold, Kathy Parker and Breanna Martin; brothers, Robert Martin and Jerry Powell Martin and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Dora Community Center.
