William MacArthur Martin

William MacArthur Martin, age 83 of Dora, passed away at UAB Hospital on February 21, 2026. "Mac" was born September 9, 1942 to Claud Martin & Alma Maxine Weathers Martin as one of 6 children. Mac retired after 50 years of service as route salesman for the Golden Flake Potato Chip Company. He lead a very active life including coaching his daughters' softball teams and enjoyed playing BINGO immensely. He was a HUGE fan of all Alabama sports.

Mr. Martin is predeceased by his parents, his infant son, Allen W. Martin; sister, Claudette Spain and two brothers, Eugene & Douglas Martin. Survivors include his wife of almost 40 years, Brenda Maddox Martin; sons, Brent Martin, Brodie Martin; daughters, Kim Arnold, Kathy Parker, Breanna Martin; step sons, Tommy Marlin (Jeanine), Kevin Marlin (Renee Goodwin); brothers, Robert Martin, Jerry Martin and a host grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Dora Community Center. The family invites all friends and relatives to join them in sharing the life of William MacArthur Martin.
