Verna Mae Skinner, 85, of Sylvan Springs, Alabama was born September 2, 1934 and passed away August 26, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hughie and Ella Mae Smith; husband of 63 years, Billy Skinner. She is survived by daughters, Marsha Mareno (Norman) and Vicki Skinner; grandson, Craig Mareno (Misty) and great granddaughter, Blakely Mareno. Her family will celebrate her life with visitation on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 10:00 AM at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home with graveside service beginning at 11:00 AM in the adjoining cemetery to be officiated by Bro. Jimmy King. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Maytown Baptist Church, 4679 Birmingport Road, Maytown, Alabama 35118. Social distancing and masks are required.
