Tonya Michelle Moore
May 17, 1965 — June 21, 2020
Tonya M. Moore, a blessed and special angel was born to Nadine W. Todd & Jesse Brown on May 17th, 1965 in Birmingham, AL.
Tonya confessed her faith in Christ at an early age, where she later became a member of the 6th Ave Baptist Church under the Leadership of Pastor John L. Cantelow III. During this time, she served faithfully as a member of the youth choir and then on to the Progressive Choir.
She received her education through the Birmingham School System, attending & graduating from A.H. Parker High School, class of 1983. She continued her studies from Southern Junior College of Business where she graduated and began her career in the work force as a Medical Assistant.
Tonya shared her passion for Medicine through the different medical facilities where she worked, such as Lloyd Noland Hospital, South View Medical Center, Baptist Medical Center Princeton, UAB Kirkland and Baptist Medical Center Montclair.
Tonya changed career paths and started working for the State Farm Agency under the Leadership of Mrs. Joyce Ladd where she was a Receptionist/Customer Services Representative.
33 years ago, Tonya met and married the love of her life, Frederick Jerome Moore Sr. and to this wonderful union a son was born, Frederick Jerome (Jay) Moore Jr.
God called his blessed angel home on Sunday, June 21st, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center Princeton, where she will continue her walk beside him. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Mr. Willie J. (Teresa) Woods & one aunt, Mrs. Aldria L. Owens (Dan).
Tonya leaves to cherish her wonderful memories, her loving husband, Frederick Moore Sr., one son, Frederick (Jay) Moore Jr., her devoted mother, Nadine W. Todd (David), Father, Jesse Brown, 5 uncles, John E (Ethel), Joseph W. (Yvonne), Alford L. (Patricia), Alis J. (Sherry) & Lorenzo Woods., all of Birmingham, AL., one brother, Ramon M. Dawkins (Key West, Florida). 2 Best Friends, Kelly Cullen (Richard) & Glennis E. Points as well as a host of cousins and special friends.
