Shirley Hall Norton

Shirley Hall Norton, born on May 27, 1939, peacefully passed away at her home on December 23, 2025. As a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Shirley will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family and friends.

Shirley was the beloved daughter of Fred L. Hall and Mary Elizabeth McCraw, and she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel S. Norton, Jr., and her sister, Agnes Reaves. Their memories live on, intertwined with the legacy of love that Shirley cultivated throughout her life.

Her family, who remain to honor her memory, includes daughters Sheryl R. Prasil and Stacy Vinces, along with her son Stuart L. Norton. Shirley's spirit will also continue through her grandchildren, Farren Prasil, Alex Prasil, Taylor Johns (Donnie), and Tiffany Armstrong (Nick), as well as her great-grandchildren, Kimber, Jackson, and Zane. Additionally, her furry friend Ray provided companionship and joy throughout her life. Shirley is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives, all of whom are mourning her loss while cherishing the unforgettable moments they shared.

The family invites those who knew and loved Shirley to come together in remembrance and celebration of her life. Viewing will be held on December 29, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, both located at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home, 1498 5th Avenue, Pleasant Grove, AL 35127. Shirley will be laid to rest in a burial service on December 26, 2025, at Patterson-Forest Grove Memorial Gardens at 7:30 PM.
