Sarah Jo Duke

Sarah Jo Duke, 93 of Hueytown, AL, passed on September 26, 2026. Sarah Jo was known for her love of cooking and canning fruits and vegetables. She worked as a nutritionist for the local school system. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Melvin and Myrtle Wheeler Stripling; husband of more than 60 years, John A. Duke; and son, Scott Duke. She is survived by her son, William "Roy" Duke. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 30, 2026 from 10:00 until 10:50 AM in the chapel at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. Graveside service will begin at 11:00 AM in Patterson Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Rev. Gary Craft officiating,
