Ruth N. Rupert

Ruth Nadine Rupert, of Bessemer, AL, passed on April 13, 2026, at the age of 96. She was born to the late Frank and Lucille Truesdell on February 24, 1930. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years,  Elston I. Rupert, Sr.; daughter, Henrietta "Ruthie" Shelburn; and brothers, Calvin, Adrian, and Francis Truesdell. She is survived by her sons, Elston I. Rupert, Jr., Ralph V. Rupert and Anthony J. Rupert (Debbie); daughters, Cecilia R. Goodwin (Howard), Mary J. Harris (Jay), Rene Rupert and Gwendolyn J. Barrett (Kevin); 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be Friday, April 17, 2026 beginning at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius Church. Funeral service will start at 10:30 AM. Father Reju Pynadath officiating. Burial will be in Springfield National Cemetery, Springfield, MO.
