Ruby M. Burchfield

Ruby Miller Burchfield, a loving wife, mom, and grandmother was promoted to her Heavenly Home on April 13, 2020, at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by parents, Jesse C. and Annie Mae Miller, husband, Rev. Edward W. Burchfield, Sr., eight siblings, a son-in-law, and a grandson. She is survived by her children: Edward (Eddie) W. Burchfield, Jr. (Jean), Patsy (Pat) B. Hanson, Lisa B. Frye (Mike), Traci B. Smart (Gary), and Esther B. Moore (Bruce); twenty-two Grandchildren; thirty-five Great Grandchildren; and two Great-Great Grandchildren.
Due to the current pandemic, viewing and graveside service will be for immediate family members only on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. There will be a Memorial/Celebration of Life Service that will be announced at a later date for all family and friends.
Sister Burchfield left a great legacy and was passionate for Jesus Christ. She was a devout Christian, a prayer warrior, possessed great faith, a constant care giver, taught free piano lessons, and worked tirelessly for God. She and her “late” husband ministered to spread the Gospel through church pastorship, singing and preaching on the radio and in nursing homes, visiting the sick, and feeding the poor. She, like the Apostle Paul, fought a good fight, kept the faith, and has laid up much treasure in Heaven!
