Ronald Dean Sparks

Donald Dean Sparks, age 74, of McCalla, Alabama, passed away on November 16, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Delores Sparks; his brothers, Robert Sparks and John Headley; and his daughter, Monica Thompson.

Donald is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Harriet White Sparks. He leaves behind his son, Ronald Sparks and wife Brittany, as well as his daughters, Melissa Banks and Pamela Sparks. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Morgan Banks, Jacob Banks, Nicole Pate, Alec Roberts, Collin Miller, Mattie Thompson, Mallory Thompson, Mitchell Thompson, Layla Sparks, Alyssa Sparks, Daniel Sparks, Eli Sparks, Kenna Townsend, Kolton Townsend, and Konor Thompson. He is also remembered by his great-grandchildren: Collins, Christian, and Cannon.

Donald is survived by his sisters, Belinda Honeycutt and Yolanda Sparks, and his brothers, Jimmy Sparks and Donnie Sparks. His family further includes his son-in-law, Andy Thompson, numerous nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 20, 2025, in the chapel, beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service in Patterson Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Pastor Terry Norris will officiate the ceremony.
