Rilla Tawbush was a woman of unwavering faith, whose love for the Lord and devotion to her family were at the very heart of her life. Her faith was not simply something she professed, but something she carried with her each day, reflected in the love she shared with those around her.
Family meant everything to Rilla. She treasured the time spent with her loved ones and found great joy in the generations of family that surrounded her. Her love, kindness, and steadfast faith leave a lasting legacy that will continue through the lives of those who knew and loved her.
Rilla was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Tawbush; her daughter, Melissa Riise; her parents, Sampson and Vergie Jones; and her sister, Bethel Lemley.
She is survived by her daughter, Mahalia (Morris) Haney; her grandchildren, Henry (Lori) Haney and Shelley (David) Salter; four great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other beloved family members and friends.
Rilla also cherished her church family, whose friendship, fellowship, and shared faith were an important part of her life. Her family wishes to extend a special and heartfelt expression of gratitude to Charlie and Jennifer Hurst for their kindness, compassion, and unwavering love and support.
Although Rilla will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the faith she held so dearly and the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Her legacy of faith and love will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
