Ralph grew up in Hoagtown now called Sylvan Springs. Ralph served in the Army and was honorably discharged. He was a hard worker. Ralph believed in setting goals working hard for what you wanted and having pride in the accomplishments. He worked most of his life in Heating and Air Conditioning service where he passed on his knowledge and skills to many. He believed in providing a good home life with good moral values and helping others. Ralph was a founding member of the Maytown Volunteer Fire Department in 1973 and later was appointed Fire Chief and served until he retired in 2008.
