Pete Flowers

Pete Flowers Jr., age 98, of Pleasant Grove, Alabama, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, and laughter.

Pete proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. He lived a life grounded in hard work and simple joys and was known by many as a devoted deer hunter, an avid gardener, and a lighthearted jokester who loved to make others smile. His sense of humor and gentle spirit brought warmth wherever he went.

Above all, Pete loved the Lord and cherished his family, especially his grandchildren. Time spent with them brought him his greatest joy, and his love, stories, and steady presence will be remembered always.

He is survived by his sons: Larry Flowers (Carol), Jerry Flowers (Donna), and Shawn Flowers (Kim); his grandchildren: Chad Flowers, Ginger Canterbury, Kim Hill, Eric Flowers, Megan Ray, Heather Cleckler, and Hunter Flowers; along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home, 1498 5th Avenue, Pleasant Grove, Alabama 35127. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer. Bro. Jarred McCrary will officiate the services.

Serving as pallbearers are Shawn Flowers, Corky McFarland, Wade Cleckler, Hunter Flowers, Alan Harrison, and Joseph Shook.

Pete will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
