Peggy Jean Woods

Peggy Jean Woods, age 71 of Hueytown, passed away Baptist Medical Center Prince on March 5, 2026. Peggy was born November 17, 1954 in Hueytown to the late Hoyt Leon & Helen Riley Thomas. she is also predeceased by her sister, Patricia Thomas. 

Survivors include her son, Michael Moore (Carolyn), daughter, Sharon Moore, brother, Kenneth Thomas (Candi), grandchildren, Isaiah Moore, Brandon Moore, Luke Moore, Aubrey and Taylor; nieces and nephews, Shane Thompson, Chris Thompson, Angie Thompson, Scotty Thompson, Nicholas Thomas and Natalie Thomas.

Peggy worked many years as a cook and server at several restaurants. She was most well known for her time as the attendant at local convenience stores in the area. Peggy enjoyed spending time with her family and loved them all very dearly.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 13, 2026 beginning at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home with Bro. David Hall officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow in Forest Grove Memorial Gardens.
