Patricia Ann Duke Gill, 75, of Concord, Alabama passed away, October 31, 2025 at St. Vincent’s Hospital Hospice Care. Pat was born March 16, 1950 to Zeke & Flora Mae Duke. She was the youngest of seven children & graduated from Kennedy High School. Pat married the love of her life, Jerry Gill, 58 years ago and was a loving and devoted wife. They had two children, Alan & Kristina. She was a member of Sylvan Springs Church of Christ and loved her church family. Pat worked at The Kirklin Clinic for 28 years.
Pat’s service to her family and her community set her apart. She was the first to jump into action to fill the needs of others. She was always looking to do a kind deed for someone else. Her caring, kind spirit has strengthened the lives of so many, most notably her husband. Pat spent her remaining years caring for her husband foremost as various ailments have plagued him. She never complained. She never got tired. She was the worthy woman. Pat served like Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zeke and Flora Mae Duke, son Alan Gill, his wife Christine Gill, siblings John A. Duke, Fannie Dean Robinson, Joe Duke, Jack Duke, Britt Duke, and Nellie DuBose.
She is survived by her loving husband, William Jerry Gill and her daughter Kristina Maddox (husband Brian) of Pleasant Grove. Four grandchildren Sydney Morrison (husband Austin), Alana Gill (Fiancé Nick), Brody Gill, and Bayley Maddox. She was also anxiously awaiting the birth of her first great grandchild, Maddox Ann Morrison due January 2026.
Visitation will be held at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home on Forest Road in Pleasant Grove on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. until 11 A.M. with the funeral to follow at 11:00 A.M. David Courington officiating. Pallbearers are Brian Maddox, Brody Gill, Austin Morrison, Nick Everett, Rick Harrison & Jeff Wilson. There will be a short graveside service at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Fayette, Alabama immediately following the funeral.
