Oscar Lee Hall was born on August 18, 1948, to the late Leon and Elizabeth Hall in Boothton, Alabama. During his childhood, his family relocated to Brighton, Alabama, where he grew up and graduated from Brighton High School as a proud member of the Class of 1966.

Following graduation, Oscar attended Alabama A&M University before answering the call to serve his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. As a combat veteran, he served with courage, honor, and unwavering dedication. While serving in Vietnam, he sustained significant injuries in the line of duty, a testament to his sacrifice and commitment to defending our nation. Following his honorable discharge, Oscar demonstrated the same determination that defined his military service by pursuing higher education and building a distinguished career.

He enrolled at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he completed his studies in Radiologic Technology. Oscar went on to dedicate 33 years of faithful service to University Hospital at UAB. Committed to lifelong learning and professional growth, he later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Miles College while continuing his career.

Above all, Oscar was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and steadfast man of faith. He cherished his family and found his greatest joy in providing guidance, support, and unconditional love to those he held dear. His strength, wisdom, and quiet presence were a source of comfort and inspiration to his wife, children, grandchildren, and all who knew him.

Oscar leaves to cherish his precious memory his devoted and loving wife, Janice D. Hall; his children, Kimberly (Timothy) Hopkins, Michael L. Hall, and LaKenya (Elmore) Bend; his siblings, John L. Hall, Gertherie Williams, Samuel E. Hall (Frankie), and Ronald D. Hall; and four cherished grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rosa Sims, and his brother, Thomas Hall. His legacy of faith, service, sacrifice, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know and love him.
