Oma Nell Swindle

Mrs. Oma Nell Holland Swindle, age 86 of Adger, passed away December 16, 2025 at Brookwood Medical Center. Oma was born in Walker county, Alabama on November 18, 1939 to the late George and Vernell Waid Holland. Oma is also predeceased by her son, Dean Morris and brothers, Don and Ronnie Holland.

Survivors include her children, Donny Morris, Kenny Morris (Carol), Rocky Benge (DeeDee) and Donita King (Donnie); sisters, Georgia Cooper and Frances McCraw; brother, Ricky Holland (Becky); grandchildren, Kandi Morris, Kristal Knight (Justin), Kristy Smith (Clint), Jason King (Jenna) and Justin King (Fallon), many great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Oma worked for many years as a waitress at Golden Rule Bar B Que in Hoover. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting and making silk flower arrangements, she also enjoyed spending time with her family and loved each of them dearly.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 19, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Hill officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow in Forest Grove Memorial Gardens
