Meredith Price Vickers

Meredith Price Vickers, of Hueytown, passed away on September 23, 2019, at the age of 88. She was a graduate of the University of Alabama, soloist with the Alabama Civic Chorale and member of First United Methodist Church of Hueytown, where she was a member of the Chancel and the Handbell choirs. She was also a member of Koinonia and Delta Kappa Gamma. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Vickers, Sr.; sisters, Lucy Acree and Gloria Sutherland; and brother, David Price. She is survived by her two sons, Charles (Debra) Vickers, Jr. and John (Paula) Vickers; sisters, Alice McGill; brothers, John (Margie) Price and Benjamin (Judy) Price; grandchildren, Brandy (Michael) Motes, Brooke (Jay) Wilkins, Tyler (Alyssa) Vickers, Whitney (Brandon) Hand, Colton (Shelbi) Vickers; great grandchildren, Emily, Eli, Isaac, Maris, Charlie, Alice and Arden; and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM with funeral service starting at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church of Hueytown. Burial will follow service in Patterson Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Pastors John Verciglio and John Simmons officiating.
