Louis Jesus Betancourt, age 82, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. Born on October 9, 1943, Louis was a driven man of iron will and deep faith.
He worked as a maintenance man throughout his life and had a natural knack for making things work. A provider in the truest sense, he worked tirelessly to ensure his family always had food and shelter. However, it was his genuine love for people that truly set him apart. Whether you were homeless or a doctor, you were the same in his eyes. He was authentic with everyone, and his life was enriched by the many different people he embraced and eventually brought to church. He loved his church deeply and wanted everyone to have the same experience he found there.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Matia and Eugenia Betancourt, and his beloved son, Steven Betancourt.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Karen Betancourt; his daughters, Denise Henriquez, Elizabeth Betancourt, and Danielle Gutierrez; his son-in-law, Marcel Gutierrez; and his cherished grandchildren: Cheyenne, Vince, Sabastian, Nola, Aniyah, Stephanie, Derrick, Brando, and Savannah.
His legacy of willpower, fortitude, and love for people lives on in his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed, always loved, and never forgotten.
