Lois Leecy Whitaker

Ms. Lois Whitaker passed away on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 at the age of 86. Services will be held at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home on Wed. Jan. 10, 2018 with the visitation beginning at 1:00 and the service at 2:00 PM. Rev. Harold Newberry officiating. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Lena Jane Whitaker. Her daughter Annie Birdsong formally known as Jennifer Shelton. Her daughter-in-law, Suzanne.. Sisters, Gladys and Leetha and her brothers, Amos and Amuel. Survivors include: Her sons Joe Shelton (Karen) and Anthony Shelton. Grandchildren, Angela Chandler (Aaron), Eric Shelton (Bridgett), Terri Shelton and Brandon Shelton. Also survived by five great grandchildren, her sister Rachel Jones (Bill) and brother Millard Whitaker (Wanda). Also by a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Ms. Whitaker was a long time member of Pleasant Grove First Baptist Church. She was a devout Child of God, who proudly proclaimed the Gospel and modeled the Christian life. Burial will follow the service at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens.
