Josephine Louise Defrank Stone

Josephine Louise DeFrank Stone entered Heaven's Gates and into her Savior's arms on Jan 28, 2018. Just ten days short of her 94th birthday. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul DeFrank and Elsie Lynn DeFrank; brothers, Paul (Virginia) DeFrank, Jr. Jodey (Rosalee) DeFrank, Sam (Genevieve) DeFrank, William (Virginia) DeFrank; sister, Mary Angelina DeFrank (Chris) Tortorici; her eldest son, James David Stone; her granddaughter, Leslie Stone. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Alyce Stone Humphries (Sam) Doss, Sylvia (Troy) Kirkland; son, Ollie Paul (Lorraine) Stone; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Louise was a loving and dedicated Mother who stressed the importance of education to her four children. Having married early, she was not able to finish high school. However, through her encouragement all four children graduated high school, all four have attended college, two attained full degrees and two attained associate degrees. Louise did not give up. She was able to earn her high school diploma through the GED program AT AGE 65! She attended Industrial City Baptist Church where she enjoyed the fellowship of dear ones in Christ. She enjoyed her long and happy association with members of The Hueytown Senior Citizen's Club after her retirement from Wallace International. We will lay our precious Mother to rest at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 with graveside services at Valley Creek Cemetery, looking forward to the day we will meet again and "walk across heaven together".
