Jimmy "Sam" Samsal

Jimmy "Sam" Samsal, 82 of Hueytown, Alabama passed away September 25, 2023. Sam was the most amazing, sincere, loving and gentle soul. He loved playing basketball and Alabama football almost as much as he loved his family. Sam leaves behind a life full of fun memories for all of us to cherish. He was literally just a phone call away if anyone needed help. He is preceded in death by his father James L. Samsal; mother, Edith May Samsal. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Barbara A. Samsal; son, Jamie Samsal(Rhonda); daughter, Cristy S. Odom (Martin); sisters, Brenda Barr, Donna Daily (Bill); grandsons, Scotty Daniel and Michael Daniel and five great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, September 28, 2023 12:00 PM-1:00 PM with the service starting at 1:00 PM at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Rev. David Nuckels officiating.
