It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jason Allan Jones, who left this world too soon on April 24, 2025, at the age of 51. Born on October 19, 1973, Jason was a beloved son, brother, and friend, whose warm spirit and kind heart touched all who knew him.
Jason had a productive and fulfilling career, working for Overland Contracting Inc. in Conyers, GA, where he proudly worked as an electrical lineman for four years. He then dedicated nine years of his life to US Pipe's Mini Mill in Bessemer, AL. He had an impressive knowledge of all things electrical, mechanical, and plumbing-related. Jason was the go-to person when something needed fixing, embodying a blend of skill and dedication that made him dearly admired among friends and colleagues.
A man of many passions, Jason cherished his time spent outdoors, whether it was hunting or fishing, activities that offered him solace and joy.
Education was also a fundamental part of Jason’s life. Jason graduated Hueytown High School in 1992 and received a baseball scholarship to Wallace Community College and Bevill State, where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts. He continued his education and love of baseball at Livingston University.
Jason leaves behind a loving family that includes his son, Jason Cain Jones (mother, Sandra) of Hueytown, AL; his devoted mother, Paula Jones of Bessemer, AL; a sister, Angela Brown (Kevin) and nephew, Harmon Brown, from Broseley, MO; an uncle Russell Aldrich (Debbie) of Madison, MS; as well as his aunt, Janice Harris (Larry) of Trussville, AL; and his girlfriend, Angel Green. He also leaves to mourn his loss many other relatives and friends.
He is now reunited with his grandparents, Clarence and Delores Aldrich; his father, George Jones; and his beloved Belgian Malinois, Bella, in a place of peace and rest.
A visitation with family will be held on May 10, 2025, at Crossroads Baptist Church in Bessemer, AL, starting at 9:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 9:30 AM. Friends, family, and all whose lives were impacted by Jason are invited to come together and share in remembering this dearly loved man. He will forever be in our hearts, cherished for the memories he created and the love he shared.
