James A. Simmons, Jr., of Pleasant Grove, Alabama, passed away on June 20, 2020 at the age of 79. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Pleasant Grove. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Simmons; parents, James Arthur, Sr. and Ruth Adeline Simmons; sister, Francis Moore; granddaughter, Nacole Womack. He is survived by his sons, James T. (Jennifer) Simmons, Robin W. (Karen) Simmons, Kenneth D. (Kimberly) Simmons, Mark A. (Anne) Simmons; daughter, Kathryn L. (Chad) Harris; grandchildren, Natalie (Terry) Smith, Jacob Simmons, Joey (Teresa) Simmons, Jessica (Adam) Thompson, Jared (Bryanna) Simmons, Jordan Simmons, Savannah Simmons, Sydney Simmons, Charlotte Simmons, Landon Harris, Sophie Harris, Jackson Harris and ten great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, June 26, 2020 at 12:00 Noon until service time at 1:00 PM at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Bro. Grant Webb officiating.
