James Terry McConatha

James Terry McConatha, age 81, of Hueytown passed away at Baptist Medical Center Princeton on August 31, 2026. Terry was born in Sycamore, Alabama on May 26, 1945 to the late Joe and Emma Elizabeth McConatha. He is also predeceased by his brothers, Billy Joe McConatha and sister, Bobbie Samsal.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Chris McConatha; sister, Elizabeth Carden and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Terry served in the US Air Force as an aircraft mechanic before being honorably discharged. After his discharge he worked as an automotive mechanic for many years.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 1:15 PM at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. Military honors will be presented by the United States Air Force. There will be no visitation held prior to the service.
