James C. Howton, 79, of Mulga, Alabama passed on December 4, 2025. He is preceded in death by his mother, Addie Howton; father, Jesse Howton; and sisters, Patsy Tyler and Jan Boyington. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Howton; stepchildren, William Cooper, Rodney Cooper and Tammy Cooper; daughter, Kristen Mitkos (Tim); seven grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; lots of friends.
James cherished his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid gardener. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
