James J. Higdon Sr.

James J. Higdon, Sr., of Pleasant Grove, passed away on June 8, 2020 at the age of 94. He was an Evangelist in the Birmingham and surrounding areas for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents and several siblings. He is survived by his sons, James J. Higdon, Jr. (Vickie), Johnny J. Hidgon and Todd A. Higdon (Sheila); daughter, Connie M. Horton (Steve); grandchildren, Brandi Gann (Lee), Shae McDonald (Tyler), Kelly Higdon and Chase Smith; 17 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside service will be Wednesday, June 10, 2020 in Odom Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery (1380 Pleasant Field Rd, Parrish 35580) at 12:00 PM. Son, Todd Higdon officiating.
