James Farrell Capps Sr

Mr. James Farrell Capps, Sr., of Birmingham, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the age of 74. Mr. Capps worked as a Circulation Specialist for the Birmingham News and later for Auto Trader Magazine.
He is predeceased by his parents, Farrell and Mildred Capps and sister, Alice Nelson.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bobbie Darlene Capps; son, James F. (Annessia) Capps, Jr.; daughter, Stephanie (Melissa) Capps; grandchildren, Sara (Tyler) Riddle, Jacob (Victoria) Capps, Sophie Capps-Hawkins, Silas Capps-Hawkins, Kayla Madison Merrell, and Kaylee Briana Merrell and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 12 Noon. Funeral service will follow at 12 Noon. Burial, with military honors, will be in Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama. Rev. Jerry Sherrel and Rev. Jim Parker officiating.
