Hobert Larry Bradberry, age78 of Adger, Al, passed away peacefully at his residence on September 10, 2025. Larry was born in Blount County, Al to the late Hobert Bascom and Maxine Epperson Bradberry on January 22, 1947. Hobert was the third of seven children and was predeceased by his parents; his siblings, Don Edward and Arthur Lewis Bradberry; sisters, JoAnn Owens and Shirley Ann McClain and his grandson, Justin Rhodes.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Regina Martin Bradberry; daughter, Candy Golson; sisters, Lou Jean Hanson and Donna Jean Newman; grandchildren, Amber Nicole Golson and David Bradberry Newman; chosen brother, Leonard Foster. Larry was known as Monk Monk, Pawpaw and Knot to many who were privileged to know him.
Larry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he received 2 Purple Hearts, 2 Bronze Stars along with several other medals and commendations. After his service he worked in construction for many years, the last was at Jet Construction as a heavy equipment operator. He always enjoyed horseback riding, hunting and fishing.
Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, September 15, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens, 1498 5th Avenue, Pleasant Grove, Al 35127. The family will receive friends at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM.
