Gwendolyn Jeanette Long Burnett

Gwendolyn J. Long Burnett, 81 of Dora, AL, passed on July 29, 2026. Gwen was a longtime member of West Jefferson Baptist Church. She volunteered with AT&T Pioneers. She retired as an Electronics Tech with AT&T. Gwen loved to travel. She enjoyed many vacations to places like, Alaska, Jerusalem, Moscow, Australia, just to name a few. 

Gwen is preceded in death by her parents, James and Irene Blanton; and brothers, John Blanton, Mike Blanton, Frank Blanton, Tom Blanton and Gary Blanton. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Walter N. Long (Tina); daughter, Cindy Reed (David); grandchildren, Landon, Alyssa and Colton Long, Holli Dill and Amandaa Wayne (Nathan); 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Ann Sweat; brothers, Tim Blanton and Dale Blanton (Linda); numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the cemetery at Patterson Forest Grove Memorial Gardens.
