It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gulmaro Olvera Castro, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished, and dedicated construction worker, who left us far too soon on July 6, 2025, in Bessemer, Alabama. Born on October 27, 1991, Gulmaro was a shining light in the lives of all who knew him.

For ten wonderful years, he shared his life with Dulce Leonor Guerrero Martinez, weaving a tapestry of love and partnership that inspired those around them. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family, welcoming their son, Tadeo Alvera Guerrero, and two daughters, Miranda Olvera Guerrero and Sarah Olvera Guerrero, who brought immense joy and pride to Gulmaro’s life. He dedicated himself to providing for them, pouring his heart into his work, embodying the spirit of a true provider.

Gulmaro was also blessed with a close-knit family, his bond with his sisters, Fabiola, Mary, Dora, and Magaly, was marked by laughter, support, and the shared memories that will forever resonate in their hearts. He held deep affection for his special relatives, Romoaldo Castro, David Mendez, and Yhovany Martinez, each of whom played a significant role in his life and will miss him dearly.

While enduring this tragic loss, the family mourns the absence of his brother-in-law, Maximino Molina, whose spirit remains an integral part of their cherished memories.

As family and friends come together to celebrate Gulmaro’s life, they receive friends on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home in Pleasant Grove, Alabama, and with a funeral service on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM, in the chapel, where stories will be shared, tears will flow, and love will be honored.

Gulmaro’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched with his kindness and unwavering spirit, reminding us all to cherish every moment and to hold our loved ones close. He may have departed from this earth, but his memory will remain a guiding light in the lives he leaves behind.
