Gillis Warren
June 9, 1928 — March 30, 2020
Gillis Warren, of Bessemer, passed away on March 30, 2020 at the age of 91. He was a loving husband and father, devoted friend and servant. He was a deacon and longtime member of New Faith Baptist Church Pleasant Grove. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Susan Sanders; son, Joel Scott Warren; brother, Lecil Warren; and sisters, Mildred Tirey and Barbara Allgood. He is survived by his wife, Jean Cooper Warren; son, Barry (Kimberly) Warren; daughter, Debra Jean (Ron) Sanders; grandchildren, Brad and Brian McDuff, Tiffany and Brittany Warren, Barick, Karlyn and Brolin Warren; sister, Betty Keaton; sister-in-law, Susie (Nick) Nixon; step-brother, Jerry Cranford; and many other relatives and friends. Private graveside service will be Friday, April 3, 2020 in Patterson Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Rev. Mike Bell and Jimmy Poe officiating.
