George Terry Vintson passed from this life into the presence of his Lord and Savior, leaving behind a legacy of faith, hard work, and friendship that touched many lives. George was a devoted Christian and a proud member of Pleasant Grove Assembly of God, where he faithfully worshiped and served for many years. His church was more than a place of worship—it was his family. He often referred to fellow believers as his "church family," a reflection of the deep relationships he cherished throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Ruby Vintson; his sister, Doris Dean Raney; and his brothers, Jimmy Vintson and Paul Vintson. He is survived by his beloved nieces, Angela Greene and Cecilia Riddle, along with many extended family members, friends, and church family members who will deeply miss his presence. George spent much of his life working in maintenance and construction, earning the respect of those around him through his strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to help others. He also faithfully served as a custodian for several churches in the Hueytown area, including Pleasant Grove Assembly of God. Through his service, he helped maintain the houses of worship that meant so much to him and countless others. Known for his kind spirit, steady faith, and servant's heart, George touched the lives of many people throughout the years. His friendship, encouragement, and dedication to the Lord will be remembered by all who knew him. Though he will be greatly missed, we rejoice in the assurance that George's faith has become sight and that he is now at home with the Lord he faithfully served. "Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:23 George will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his family, friends, and the many members of his cherished church family. A celebration of life service for George will be held, Thursday June 18, 6pm @ Faith to walk Church 4500 Katies Way Bessemer Al 35022. George had a heart for serving others. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Faith2Walk Church George T. Vintson Benevolence Fund, helping extend care and practical assistance to those in need.
