George W. Rutledge, 83, of Bessemer, AL, passed away January 7, 2019.
He was a member of the American Legion. He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; grandson, Cody Rutledge.
He is survived by his sons, Lenard W. Rutledge, Michael L. Rutledge (Jan), Gregory A. Rutledge (Tonya); grandchildren, Lane, Justin, Zach, Jordan, Allie Rutledge; great grandchildren, Logan, Jake, Everett, Violet and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2019 12:00 PM - 1:45 PM at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home with a graveside service beginning at 2:00 PM at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ben Luttrell officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Children's Harbor in memory of Cody Rutledge.
