George McDonald, 94 of Pleasant Grove, Alabama passed away February 2, 2024. He is preceded in death by his father, Alexander McDonald; mother, Mary McDonald; previous wife of 62 years, Betty Jo McDonald; son, Darrell McDonald; brothers, David McDonald, Robert McDonald; sisters, Margaret Trammel, Ellen McDonald. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 11 years, Betty Penny McDonald; sons, Russell McDonald (Regina), Rick Penny (Tracy); daughters, Jennie Phillips (Edward), Luann Higginbotham (Barry), Jane Harper; grandchildren, Taylor Phillips(Kristy), Ben Penny (Peyton), Trevor Phillips(Brandy), Ashley Caudle, Randi Allen (Jason), Justin Penny, Jessica Daniels (Nathan); great grandchildren, Edward Phillips, James Phillips, Ethan Caudle, Adelyn Caudle, Alyssa Caudle, Micah Daniels, Luke Daniels, Lily Grace Daniels, Eli Penny; brother, James I. McDonald. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 6, 2024, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at First Baptist Church Pleasant Grove. The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church Pleasant Grove. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Pastor Nathan Daniels officiating
