Elizabeth "Lib" Shivers

Elizabeth “Lib” Shivers, 93 of Quinton, AL, passed on October 10, 2025. She is preceded in death and reunited in Heaven by her parents; John and Agnes Dempsey; husband, William “Bill” Shivers; son, William “Billy” Shivers, Jr.; brothers, Johnny, Henry and Fred Dempsey; sister, Jeanette Hinkle; sister-in-laws, Peggy and Shirley Dempsey; and brother-in-law, Theron “Boots” Hinkle.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Nickens; granddaughter, Cristy Shivers; grandson, Brent Shivers (Stacy); great grandson, Emerson Shivers; sister, Dorothy Jones (Alton); brother, Ernie Dempsey; loved as a son, Kerry Garner; daughter-in-law, Donna Shivers; sister-in-laws, Dean and Carolyn Dempsey; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM in Oakland Cemetery. Rev. Jim Maples, officiating.
