July 25, 1985 - January 24, 2020

Dustin Shane Roberts, 34, of Chelsea, Alabama entered heaven on Friday, January 24, 2020. Dusty grew up in Pleasant Grove, Alabama and attended school in Pleasant Grove and at the University of Alabama Birmingham. He is survived by his wife, Sarah, stepson Lex Harbison, parents Dr. Shane and Laurie Roberts of Chelsea, AL., sister Lauren Sherman (Casey), nephews Austin, Peyton and Landon Sherman and niece Reese Sherman all of Aurora, Colorado, mother and father-in-law Dennis and Susan Johnson of Cullman, maternal grandparents Jerry and Edna Earl Jones of Chelsea, AL. and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Betty Roberts.

He loved playing baseball and football growing up and was a huge fan of Alabama Football. He loved going to the beach and grew up spending many vacations there with special friends and family. Dusty loved his family and friends deeply and was known to give the best bear hugs ever. He rarely met a stranger and his friends knew they could call on him for anything anytime. He was truly a selfless human being who always put others first. He had such a big heart and desire to help anyone who was in need. He loved books and was a voracious reader. Most of all, he was a child of God and spent a lot of time reading God's word. He will be forever missed by those who knew and loved him, but we are assured through God's word that we will be reunited with him in Heaven.

There will be a visitation on Friday, January 31, 2020 at First Baptist Church, 724 4th Street, Pleasant Grove, Alabama beginning at 5:00. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church Pleasant Grove, The Foundry Ministries, or your favorite charity in memory of Dusty.

"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever." Ephesians 3:20-21
