Dorothy Turner Carnes, age 87, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on August 21, 2017. She was the last surviving child of Dewey and Ethel Turner. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Carnes and her son, Kelly Carnes. She is survived by her daughter, Traci Butler (Jeff) of McCalla. Sons: Ronald, Porter and David, all of Bessemer, AL. and Michael Carnes (Nida) of Los Angeles, CA. Grandchildren: Tiffany Williams (Caleb), Jacki Bryant (Orry), Michael Anthony Carnes and Abby Rose Ingle. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. She will be cherished in our memories as a dear and loving mother, grandmother, aunt and dear friend. Special thanks to her doctors and the ER and ICU staffs at UAB Medical West for their tender loving care, going beyond the call.
