Deborah Elaine Bracknell, 72 of Northport, AL passed away, October 27, 2026. She s preceded in death by her parents James & Lillie Franklin, brothers, Jack Franklin, Edward Franklin and Junior Franklin. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ronnie Bracknell; son, Joel Bracknell, wife April; daughter, Joy Babb; grandchildren, Sam Babb, wife Abby, Haylee Babb, Josie Bracknell, Savannah Jones and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a mother to many, a woman of strength and conviction, and someone who worked hard for everything she had to make sure her family had what they needed. She was caring, strong, and bold, and she loved deeply—sometimes in her own unique way, but always with a love that was unmistakably hers. Above all else, she loved God. Her faith was not simply something she talked about; it was the foundation on which she lived her life. She loved singing, preaching the Word of God, and ministering to others. She was a woman who stood firmly on what she believed, and no one could easily move her from it. Those who heard her preach often said, “That woman could preach!” And she truly could. Her faith became a legacy she passed down to her children. She taught us to know God, to trust His Word, and to stand firm in our faith no matter what life brought our way. She believed that when she prayed, God heard her—and she trusted that He would answer. She prayed her children through difficult seasons, battles, and circumstances that only God could bring them through. Many people have said, “There will never be another one like her.” And those who knew her understood why. She left an impression wherever she went. She loved the people who were hers with everything she had, she loved a good shopping trip, and she never stopped being the woman God created her to be. Her life was a testimony of faith, perseverance, strength, and love. Her greatest legacy will not simply be the things she accomplished, but the lives she touched, the people she encouraged, the Word she preached, and the faith she planted in those she loved. For her children and grandchildren children, there is no doubt that her prayers helped carry them to where they are today. Her voice may one day be quiet, but the prayers she prayed, the Word she taught, and the faith she lived will continue to speak for generations to come. She loved God. She loved ministry. She loved her family. And she loved hard. There truly will never be another one like her.
