Carolyn Myrick Patterson

Carolyn Myrick Patterson, 74 of Birmingham, AL, passed away January 29, 2026 at home surrounded by loved ones. Carolyn will be remembered for her amazing cooking—her meals always brought family and friends together. Her kitchen was full of laughter thanks to her great sense of humor, making every get-together fun and memorable. She was a huge Alabama football fan and loved watching games, cheering on her team with everyone she cared about. Besides sports and cooking, Carolyn loved crafts. She especially enjoyed making little angels out of teddy bears, a hobby that let her show off her creative side and share something special. These handmade angels were gifts from the heart, and she loved giving them to family and friends to spread joy and comfort.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Bobby, Sr. and Doris Myrick and sisters, Darlene Foster and Dianne Scott. She is survived by her son, Jadie W. Tubbs (Mary); daughter, Summer Parker; granddaughter, Selena Parker; brother, Bobby Myricks, Jr.; sisters, Nancy Price and Mitzy Brown; furry friends, Sweet Pea, Munchkin and Buddy; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until the start of service. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM in the chapel with burial in Patterson Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Rev. Gary Craft officiating.
