Carolyn Snyder McClinton, 86, of Lake View, Alabama, passed away on May 25, 2025. She was born on May 14, 1939, in Marked Tree, Arkansas, to Schley Samson Snyder and Mary Venora Taylor. Carolyn was raised by her stepmother, Lorene Snyder, all of whom have preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by all her siblings: Morris, Theodore Jr., Q-Ron, Jimmy, Birtha George, Grace Marie Crane, Myrtle Nichols, Francis Ginn, and Peggy Fields. Additionally, her husbands, James A. Bolton, who passed in December 1969, and David C. McClinton, who passed in November 2002, as well as her daughter-in-law, Mari Ann Bolton, have also passed. Carolyn and Joe were married for 31 years and lived in Sylvan Springs, Alabama. They were devoted members of People's Church in Hueytown, Alabama, for over 30 years. She is survived by her children: James R. Bolton "Ricky" (Cathy), Randy Bolton, Michael McClinton (Toni), Ronnie Bolton (Gena), Cindy McClinton Barton (Bill), Rick McClinton (Michelle), Traci Bolton Gibson (Jamie), and Chuck McClinton. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Luke, Caleb, Brody, and Ava Grace McClinton; Joel Gibson (Kelsie); Taylor Gibson Adams (Michael); Nicholas (fiancée Lilly) and Rachael McClinton; Tyler (Bethany) and Zachary (Kaylen) Barton; David Bolton; Alayna McClinton McCarty (Cole) and Michael McClinton; Anna Bolton; J.R. Bolton; and April and Taylor Ingram. Her great-grandchildren include: Amelia Barton; Charlie Ann McCarty; Trip McCarty; Lucy and Ellie Barton; Josiah, Carolyn, Oaks, and Knox Gibson; Samuel; James David; Luke and Jude Adams; and Capone and Natalee. A special relative, Susan Madison (Dan), was more like a sister and best friend than a niece.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home from 6:00 until 7:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 7:00 PM in the chapel. Interment will be Friday, May 30, 2025 in Patterson Forest Grove Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM. Rev. James Gibson and Rev. Joel Gibson, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation or a local church mission of choice in her name.
