Carol Polk Richie

Carol Richie of Pleasant Grove, AL, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the age of 65. Carol was a graduate of West End High School class of 1971. She was preceded in death by her mother: Eloise Prince Polk and Brother: Dewey Elton Polk Jr. Survivors include, her loving husband of 36 years: James H. Richie and her adoring Daughter: Lauren Michelle Richie. She is also survived by her granddog, Hero. Carol was an extraordinary wife, mother, friend, and person. She was an avid bowler and was loved by all her bowling friends. Carol will be sorely missed by all that knew her. Services will be held at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 24 with the visitation beginning at 10:00 through 11:00 AM at which time the funeral will be conducted by Pastor Charlie Creel. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, AL. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the animal rescue group of your choice.
