Carol J. Newman

Carol J. Newman, 88 of Gardendale, Alabama passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026. She was a loving wife and mother and her children and grandchildren were her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Newman; son, Wally Newman; parents, Randolph and Kathryn Jones and her 3 sisters, Judith Burns, Peggy Crosby and Kay Audley. She is survived by her son, Randy Newman; daughter, Cathy Ackerman (Phil); three grandchildren, Beth, Chris (Jennifer) and Mendel (Allison); seven great grandchildren a numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Live Oak Cemetery. 3093 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC 29414 on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
