Bernard A. Douglass, Jr., of Hueytown, passed away on June 8, 2020 at the age of 89. He was served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict as a Corporal. He was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church of Hueytown and was a member of the Hueytown Lions Club. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard, Sr. and Nelia Douglass and a brother, Stuart Douglass. He is survived by his wife of more than 64 years, Sue Reynolds Douglass; sons, Steven B. Douglass (Gala) and Bernard Allen Douglass (Emily J.); daughters, Lyn D. Teague (Jeff) and Stephanie D. Robertson; brother, James E. Douglass; grandchildren, Leslie Burns (Greg), Kevin Douglass (Kristen), Chris Teague, Traci McGill (Andrew), Michelle Deavers (Marty), Catherine Crawford (Nick) and Alex Waldrop; 14 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Rev. John Verciglio and Rev. John Simmons officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bernard Douglass' name to First United Methodist Church of Hueytown. Social Distancing is required.
