Barbara Jean Williams

Barbara Jean Williams, age 88, of Jasper passed away at The Oaks on Parkwood. Barbara was born October 16, 1936 to the late William Louie & Evelyn Estelle Crownover Rains. She is also predeceased by her husband, William P. Williams; son, Cris Melvin; granddaughter, Somer Hood; sister, Quintilla Rains and step father, Robert Pilkington.

Mrs. Williams retired after 30 years from the Midfield Board of Education as their Financial Secretary. She was a member of Tannehill Valley Baptist Church and enjoyed playing the piano and shopping.  She is survived by her sons, Vince Melvin (Angela) and Terry Williams; daughters, Vicki Hood (Gordon), Lisa Sandlin (Randal), Kim Foster (Ron) and Cindy Davis (Eddie); sisters, Gail Henson (Brad) and Kay Plott; 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren with a host of neices, nephews, cousins and friends.

Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Tannehill Valley Baptist Church beginning at 12:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Bro. Marty McDill will officiate services.
