Barbara Ann Snow passed away on August 25, 2026, at Brookwood Medical Center. She was born on April 30, 1936, and lived a long life marked by devotion to family and the enduring bonds of those she loved.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Pelham Wayne Johnson; her mother, Effie Mae Boyd Johnson; and her brother, Wayne Johnson. Their memories remained part of the foundation of her life and the family story she carried forward.
She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory always. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Vickie Hutchins and Edgar, Renee Richardson and Kenneth. She was a proud grandmother to Stephanie Peacock and Geoff, Kevin Foshee and Heather, Matthew Tonzel and Julius, and Melissa Porres and Esteban. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Catherine, Joshua, Jeremiah, Savannah, and James Howard; Josiah Peacock; Addison, Carter, and Ava Foshee; and Theo Tonzel. In each generation, her life is reflected in the family she nurtured and the love she inspired.
Those who knew Barbara will remember her through the closeness of her family and the lasting place she held in their hearts. Her memory will remain a source of comfort, gratitude, and love to all who were blessed to call her their own.
Visitation will be held on August 29, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home, 1498 5th Avenue, Pleasant Grove, Alabama 35127. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens, 1498 5th Avenue, Pleasant Grove, Alabama 35127.
