Annice Alene Norris

Annice ‘Alene’ Norris, 89 of Hueytown, AL, passed into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on December 1, 2018, surrounded by family. She was known for her great love for her family, her love of travel, cooking, quilting and sewing. Alene was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Norris, her parents; James Vernon and Luella Adelene McQueen, brothers Vernon (Gladys), Buddy (Geneva), Howard (Billie), George (Lucille), and Jake (Frances) McQueen, and son Robert E. "Bobby" Carrell (Joanna). She is survived by her sons, John N. Carrell, Jr., William ‘Roy’ Carrell, George Carrell, David Carrell (Pamela) and daughter, Jacquelyn F. ‘Jackie’ Hess, grandchildren Shelley, Anita (Bron), Shannon (Toby), Denise (Blake), Chris (Deb), Hollis (Candace), Kristy, Monica (John), John Michael, Melanie (Matt), Wayne (Memorie), Jason (Melody) and her great grandchildren Leigh (Nick), Tyler, Jonathan, Austin, Sam, Brooke, Lauren, Juliette, Jackson, Charleigh, Isabella, Aris and Alice and her great great grandchildren Jackson, Oakley and Scarlett. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 4th, 2018, from 5 PM to 7 PM, and funeral will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, December 5th, at Patterson - Forest Grove Funeral Home, 1498 5th Ave, Pleasant Grove, AL 35127. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project ( www.woundedwarriorproject.org ‎) an organization near to Alene’s heart that benefits disabled veterans.
