Marie Moore, 95 of Midfield, Alabama passed away September 22, 2020.
Our precious Mom was known as the Aunt Bee of Fairfield Highlands. She took care of all the kids in the neighborhood. She was known to many as Ethel, Lootie May, Mama Rea and her Grandkids along with many others called her Gigi,
On Sunday afternoons family and neighbors would gather at Moms home to eat and fellowship. The neighbors across the street once said they loved for the holidays to come around because they enjoyed watching all of us at Moms house having a blast. She always had an open door for anyone that needed food or just a friend to talk with. Gingers favorite memory with Mom was sitting at the table drinking coffee and gathering the wisdom she had to give. Wayne's favorite memory is sitting on the porch in the afternoon talking and enjoying laughs. Rita's favorite memory is sitting at the table talking to Mom about Daddy and Steve which gave her comfort. One thing Mom made sure of was to take us to Church every Sunday and that we knew Jesus.
Mother loved to cook and share food with everyone. Her house would smell scrumptious. Her food was made with extra love. Mom taught each of her grandkids to make homemade biscuits at the kitchen counter standing on a stool. She made the best Ambrosia, Mc & Cheese and Dressing you have ever had.
We have too many wonderful memories to list. Our Mom was one of a kind she was full of Stamina which is why she lived to be 95. She never gave up without a fight. After Dad passed in 1965 she raised 3 children working at the Laundry Mat on Bessemer Super Hwy. She never missed a day of work even when she was sick. She never gave up and taught us kids to do the same. She built a home for us to live in and put us all through school.
As life went on she retired and enjoyed her life with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Owen Moore; parents, Onie Ray and Margie Lois Clifton; sisters, Margaret Mitchell, Mabel Kathryn Brodie; brothers, Jack Clifton, Jerry Clifton; son-in-law, Steve Stano. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Wayne Moore (Ann); daughters, Rita M. Stano, Ginger M. Morris (Gerald); grandchildren, Blake Moore (DeAnna), Kim Weathers (John), Allen Stano, Chris Stano (Haley), Krissy Morris; great grandchildren, Skyler Moore, Tanner Moore (Carrie), Landon Moore, Kirt McFarland (Lindsey), Jami Dodd (Nick), Tyler Weathers, Skyley, Cole, Clay Stano, Addie Wilson, Chloe Wilson and nine great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2020 1:00 PM until service time beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Valhalla Cemetery. Rev. John Loper and Rev. Keith Ellis officating.
