Alfred "Mike Or Moose" Michael Jenkins

Alfred Michael Jenkins, affectionately known as Moose or Mike, passed away on November 26, 2019 at the age of 68. He was a deacon of North Highlands Baptist Church, usher for the Birmingham Barons for over 24 years, and a member of Alabama Raceway Ministry Team for 13 years. He will fondly be remembered for his love for the children's church ministry and was an avid fan of the Class of 1969 Thompson Warriors. He also shared with every man he met the importance of prostate cancer screening. He is preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Martha Jenkins; and brother, Ricky Jenkins. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Nancy Howell Jenkins; cousin, Sandra; niece, Nikki; 2 great nephews, Nicholas and Ricky; four-legged constant companions, Buster and Beauty; and many friends. Visitation will be Saturday, November 30, 2019 at North Highlands Baptist Church (4851 15th Street Road 35023) from 10:00 until 11:00 AM. Funeral service will start at 11:00 AM. with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Rev. Michael Wallace, Rev, Gwin Coffey and Rev. Bill Donaldson officiating.
